Effective: July 9, 2026 · Last updated: July 9, 2026
This policy explains how Lovely Cuba handles personal data. Lovely Cuba is an editorial website for readers interested in Cuba travel, hotels, venues, and related products.
Who controls the data?
Lovely Cuba is the data controller for personal data described here. The site is intended to operate under the laws of the Isle of Man, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and the applied UK GDPR framework where relevant.
Contact: webmaster@lovelycuba.com.
Data we may receive
Email and contact data
If you email us, we may receive your name, email address, message, attachments, and any details you choose to share. Please do not send sensitive personal data.
Basic hosting logs
Our host may process an IP address, request time, page path, browser details, security signals, and error data. These logs help deliver pages, block abuse, and fix faults.
Cookies and local storage
Lovely Cuba does not set non-essential cookies at this time. The AMP service or a future approved feature may use limited storage needed to provide that feature. We will update this policy and add consent controls before using non-essential tracking.
Why we process data
- To answer messages and review corrections
- To run, secure, and repair the website
- To prevent spam, fraud, and misuse
- To meet legal duties
- To keep records of editorial decisions when needed
Our legal grounds may include legitimate interests, consent, steps taken at your request, and legal duties. The ground depends on the data and reason for use.
Hosting and service providers
Lovely Cuba is prepared for hosting on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process network and security data as a service provider. Email may pass through the provider used for webmaster@lovelycuba.com.
We do not currently load Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Amazon Associates scripts, or hotel affiliate tracking. If these tools are added, this policy and any needed consent notice will be updated before use.
Sharing personal data
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with hosting, security, email, legal, or technical providers when they need it to perform their work. We may also share data when law requires it or when needed to protect rights and safety.
International transfers
Website and email providers may process data outside the Isle of Man. When transfer rules apply, we seek suitable safeguards, such as approved contract terms or another lawful transfer tool.
How long we keep data
Routine messages are kept only as long as needed to reply, keep a useful correction record, or meet legal needs. Hosting logs follow the host’s security and retention settings. We review old correspondence and remove data that no longer serves a clear need.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, limits, transfer, or an objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent when consent is the legal ground.
Email a clear request to webmaster@lovelycuba.com. We may need enough information to confirm your identity. You may also complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner.
Children
Lovely Cuba is written for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children. A parent or guardian may contact us if a child has sent personal data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and working safeguards. No online service can promise perfect security. Please keep sensitive information out of ordinary email.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, law, or service providers change. The date at the top will show the latest version.
